| First - I chose to go with these after sweeping Golf Digest reviews.
Got the combo iron set a few days ago. I also got the Diablo Woods and Driver. Wow! What a set! Just heavenly to play with. The smoothest feeling when you launch. For the irons, I get consistent 10m extra, and the and the 3 and 4 hybrids are so easy to do a good job with - and the ball just flies. Very forgiving, too. For the whole set, even half-misses go almost all the way. Also, the Callaway grip is very comfortable. Actually, this set is better than I expected. I chose these over the Titleist AP1, and don't regret a sec. Although my old beginners set the Top Flite 5000 is quite good to play with (except the driver there, which sucks), the new set is a world of difference. Including the price. The only negative I can come up with is that I can't blame equipment anymore on bad days. |
